Life Before Thomas Jefferson High School

I’ve been teaching visual arts for the past twelve years in Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Colorado. Before I started at TJ, I was teaching elementary art at Schmitt Elementary School, STEM School Highlands Ranch and Powderhorn Elementary School.  I’m also a freelance photographer, acrylic painter, and I’m represented by the Bitfactory Gallery in Denver as a visual artist.  I’m passionate about yoga and I studied to become a Yoga Teacher (RYT 200).  Some of my hobbies are making art, taking photos, riding my bicycle, hiking, rock climbing, snowboarding, cooking and gardening.

Grading Policy

All of my classes have non-weighted grades. Non-weighted grades are calculated in such a way that every point has the same weight, no matter the assignment.

Late Work Policy

I accept late work at any time after the assignment is due. Until late work is submitted, it will be marked as a “0” in the gradebook.

Plagiarism Policy

If you submit work that is not yours, you will have one chance to resubmit and earn up to 65%
